  1. I write horror and thriller novels but no fictional account touches the horror of man’s inhumanity to man. I’m not just referring to harm inflicted by weapons. The most heinous are those who live in comfort while exploiting the powerless through inhumane labour practices, resource hording and by inflicting climate change on those least able to cope with drought, increased temperatures, and shrinking land mass.
    I try to introduce the horrors of the real world in my thrillers to render the horror of make-believe monsters pale in comparison.
